After World War II most of the Poles in the area (including some of my family) were &#8220;relocated&#8221; to Poland and as a result there are few Polish (and thus few Roman Catholic) people left in the area. However, we were fortunate to find the caretaker and visit the church. \u00a0I <a href=\"https:\/\/poland.leonkonieczny.com\/blog\/?p=689\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">wrote about it previously<\/a>, and that post has a <a href=\"http:\/\/poland.leonkonieczny.com\/Poland%202011\/Tarnoruda-St.%20Stanislaus%20Church\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">link to the pictures<\/a> I took.<\/p>\n<p>However, I recently came across some pictures of this church on the Internet. Here is one of them:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/poland.leonkonieczny.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/St.Stanislaus.Tarnoruda.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-986\" src=\"https:\/\/poland.leonkonieczny.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/St.Stanislaus.Tarnoruda.jpg\" alt=\"St.Stanislaus.Tarnoruda\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" srcset=\"https:\/\/poland.leonkonieczny.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/St.Stanislaus.Tarnoruda.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/poland.leonkonieczny.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/St.Stanislaus.Tarnoruda-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a>But on top of that, I recently found some <a href=\"http:\/\/audiovis.nac.gov.pl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">pictures on the Internet<\/a> from a church procession in Tarnoruda in 1929.
